Journalist, television news anchor, film director, and actor Gaurish Akki is a well-known name in Kannada media. Native of Koppal district, Karnataka, Gaurish Akki started his career as a lecturer but soon moved to the area of his passion, media. He has the distinction of working with many well-known news media houses like ETV Kannada, TV9, Suvarna 24/7, Suddi TV, and Kasturi News. He has donned several roles like: voice-over artist, copy editor, bulletin producer, program producer, and news anchor. He has the pride to have been part of the founding team of TV9.
He is the recipient of several awards and recognition like Government of Karnataka’s Karnataka Madhyama Academy Annual Award 2017 as Best News Presenter, CableVarthe Magazine’s Best Interviewer 2008, as well as Rotary Vocational Excellence 2009. He has also started his journey in film industry as an actor, director, and writer.

Chief Executive Officer @ Manojava Clean Future Pvt Ltd, worked as CEO for Film production LLPs, Former creative director at Pomegranate Pictures worked as Executive producer, Ex. radio jockey, Radio producer, voice over artist, writer, lyricist and actor.

Entered Journalism in 2002 in Vijaya Karnataka Mangalore Edition. Duty as Special Correspondent in Delhi from 2008 to 2011. From 2011 to 2015, he worked as a special reporter and chief reporter in Kannada Prabha. Assistant Editor at Vishwavani from 2016 to late 2017. Group Editor at Hosadigantha Daily since December 2017. Areas of interest include investigative reporting, special reports, crime, technology, column writing.
